Beer and Business is a new social event in Honolulu specifically designed for entrepreneurs, executives, and investors to get to know each other over drinks in a casual and fun environment. We all know Hawaii’s a great place to do business, and Beer and Business helps you meet the great people behind the companies here.

Beer and Business was started by Lorenz Sell with lots and lots of help from Rachel Ogdie at HiBEAM (who were the very first sponsor of the very first event). The current format was inspired by the SF New Tech Meet Up events organized by Myles Weissleder in San Francisco each month. Our format consists of 2 - 3 companies giving 5 minute presentations followed by 5 minutes each of Q & A. At the end, we have an open stage that lets anyone get up and talk about anything for 60 seconds.

At Beer and Business you’ll meet top technology innovators and companies in Hawaii ranging from Web 2.0 to nanotech to digital media and video games. Our events are held quarterly in some of the hottest bars around Honolulu. Geeks, inventors, entrepreneurs, investors, VCs, local executives, new companies with cool products and ANYONE curious about what’s happening in the Hawaii tech scene is welcome.
